4 Cocktails for the Super Lazy

Here are a few super easy cocktails that don't require too many ingredients or too much effort! Everything you'll need you might already have or you can simply find a bodega.

These drinks are basically lazy versions of existing cocktails that still taste great and for sure look amazing. Obviously not every bit of garnish or detail is necessary, but they are just very simple ways to get that high-end, specialty cocktail look. The point is that you don't have to open a bar to kill it at date night, entertaining some friends, or just treating yourself. No one would know that you half-assed it. And here's a good little excuse to go with it:

Effort Needed rating — 0 is pouring a shot and 5 is opening a bottle of wine and doing the dishes (bar is pretty low).

  • Tequila
  • Orange juice
  • Soda water

Gear & Garnish

  • Tall, slender glass

  • Orange wedge/slice (serve rest as side or with shots)
  1. Wet rim of glass on one side and then roll gently glass on a shallow dish with some sugar.

    • Herradura is a good option. It's pretty common and the flavour is not overpowering.
  3. Add handful of ice.
  4. Mix in orange juice.
    • Pour same amount or slightly more than tequila. This is what softens the alcohol and freshens up the drink.

    • Pour it kind of fast so that it mixes with orange juice and tequila.
  6. Give cup a little swirl.
  7. Garnish with orange wedge.
